The following batch script below, copies a folder to a folder. The folder is created with a name according to date that the script is run. The script will output a log file of the operation – files which were copied will be logged.<\/p>

This script is intended only for WINDOWS machines. (XP and above)<\/p>

Step 1<\/u><\/p>

Click on\u00a0Start<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Run<\/strong>.<\/p>

Enter\u00a0cmd\u00a0<\/strong>and press the enter key<\/p>

Step 2<\/u><\/p>

In the black window that opened write:<\/p>

#\u00a0EDIT BACKUP.BAT<\/strong><\/p>

The\u00a0backup.bat<\/strong>\u00a0is the name\u00a0of the file that we created .<\/p>

Step 3<\/u><\/p>

In the blue screen that we just opened copy and paste\u00a0the following (each line without the\u00a0#<\/strong>\u00a0mark):<\/p>

All of this sequence is actually a command to open a library if\u00a0
the correct date for the day .<\/p>

EXPLANATION 2<\/u><\/p>

# copy “c:\\folder_name*.*” c:\\%date%<\/strong><\/p><\/div>

This is the command that copy the files in to the date folder (the backup folder).<\/p>

EXPLANATION 2-A<\/u><\/p>

folder_name\u00a0<\/strong>is the folder that you want to copy from him<\/p>

%date%\u00a0<\/em>is the folder with the correct day to copy the files that we want to backup .<\/p>

EXPLANATION 3<\/u><\/p>

This is a LOG file that contain the names of all the files that we copy and also the time and date that the backup was\u00a0runs.<\/p>
